I remember a friend of mine had one back in the 80s and I thought it was a cool camera; I was shooting 35mm SLR then. Fast forward to 2015, where I nabbed and SX-70 Sonar at a used camera show as a birthday present to myself. I used that SX-70 until an accidental drop in 2020 broke it beyond repair. (That accident should have told me that 2020 was going to be quite a year). This year, I purchased another SX-70 Sonar as a present to myself. I later bought a case & remote shutter release for the SX-70. I love the camera, and as you said it’s an SLR. This is my film photography (with other instant cameras), for like you I cannot be putting out $$ for development and scanning. However, I still only use SX-70 film with it since I have a 600-type camera. Thanks for sharing such a great video and all the best with your SX-70!

Thanks for sharing your methodology. I’m pretty much using the exact same method just out of blind luck lol. Good to hear I was on the right track. They are a great smoking pipe and one of my favorites.

You should try the tobacco you removed from the cigar in a pipe, would be interesting to know if being in the cigar has changed the blend :-)

It’s common for cigar manufacturers to make what are called Cuban sandwiches. It’s loose leaf (usually remnants from rolling whole leaf cigars) used as filler to make short filler cigars. Cheers Bradley

The question then begs to be asked…why isn’t/hasn’t pipe tobacco been rolled into a cigar before? If it has, does it work? Is it not as good as it would be via a pipe? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Bradley, well I'll be damned. Your basic hand-rolled cigar is composed of bunch, binder, and wrapper leaf. Most cigars are blends of tobacco from different countries, except for puros, which are composed of a single type of leaf. But pipe tobacco? I'd have to smoke one before passing judgement. However, it doesn't sound appetizing. Really good show today!

I’ve not heard Fillmore mentioned in lists of strongest tobaccos, so I’m intrigued. I’m pretty convinced nothing is going to top HH Rustica, though, although Coniston Cut Plug is a close second. I do love them, but was a little let down by the potency of Dark Bird’s Eye, Happy Brown Bogie sliced (Brown Twist), and Kendal Dark. I do have some Dark Flake unscented on the way, so we’ll see about that one! Thanks, Bradley!

Enjoyed the same but honestly I got zero PP throughout. The last half did give off stronger sour notes at which point I thought ok here is where it begins but alas just a decent cigar to the last nub...nothing to go WOW! over....in that regard a major disapointment on my part. Also i did get my teeth covered in a sort of silky film to the point i had to brush them after. Wierd. Not sure if it was casing or what but certainly a first from a cigar for me. Was actually waiting for you to comment the same Bradly...guess not ... maybe it was just me? Glad I just bought 2 instead of a full box. Anyhow great vid as always! Cheers! 🍻🍺🍻

My grandad smoked a pipe for over 1000 years never did him any good.

However with point number 2... Pipe smoking can teach you patience. It forces you to slow down. Kind of cute that you think nicotine is out of your system in a couple of months. Yeah I still get a jones for a cigarette 25 years later. Worse than a heroine addiction that I'm not sure is ever gone.

The Umbrella thing is a myth. I have lived in the Oregon and Washington all my life. My family has been here for over 4 generations, and we all use umbrellas!

That's all the same varietals that he used in his signature series a year and a half or so ago. All the tins had brightly colored birds on them.

If you feel like you've tasted all there is to taste in non-aromatic tobaccos why not branch out and try some of the rather iconic and uniquely singular Lakeland style blends like 1792 Flake or War Horse Bar? I'd sure like to see reviews on those!

By the way, you're the first person I've heard speaking the word "Rimboché" but with the acute accent (é), wouldn't it be "RIM-boh-SHAY"?
